Our Promise to You

We built this tool because we needed it ourselves. Transcribing audio should be simple, private, and free from corporate data harvesting. Your audio files contain personal conversations, business discussions, and sensitive information. We treat them accordingly.

What We Collect

Audio Files You Upload

Your audio files are sent to our transcription server for processing
Files are processed in memory and never stored permanently
Once transcription completes, your audio file is deleted immediately
We cannot access, replay, or retrieve your audio after processing

Usage Analytics (Anonymous)

Basic analytics to understand how people use the tool
Page views, button clicks, and feature usage (no personal identifiers)
Used only to improve the service

What We Do NOT Collect

No account registration required
No email addresses (unless you contact us)
No payment information (the service is free)
No cookies for tracking or advertising
No transcription content is stored or analyzed

How Transcription Works

You upload an audio file from your device
The file is sent via encrypted HTTPS to our Cloudflare-powered transcription server
AI processes your audio and generates text
The transcript is sent back to your browser
Your audio file is deleted from our server immediately

The entire process typically takes under a minute. There is no permanent storage of your audio at any point.

AI Summarization & Translation

When you use our AI-powered summarization or translation features, your transcribed text (not audio) is sent to a third-party AI provider (currently DeepSeek via OpenRouter) for processing. This text is used only to generate your summary or translation and is not stored or used for training AI models.

Security Measures

HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
Cloudflare CDN & DDoS protection for infrastructure security
No database means no data breach risk
Processing in memory means files cannot be recovered after deletion

For Legal, Medical, and Business Users

We understand that lawyers transcribing depositions, doctors recording patient notes, and businesses processing confidential meetings have higher privacy requirements.

While we take security seriously, please note that files do leave your device during processing. For highly sensitive content requiring HIPAA or specific regulatory compliance, we recommend evaluating whether this service meets your organization's legal requirements.

Vercel: Website hosting
OpenRouter/DeepSeek: AI summarization and translation (optional features)

We do not sell, share, or trade your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because we don't collect personal data or create user accounts, there is minimal data to manage. However, you have the right to:

Ask what data we have about you (answer: none, unless you emailed us)
Request deletion of any email correspondence
Opt out of analytics by using browser privacy settings or ad blockers

Children's Privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page with the new date. Major changes will be noted clearly at the top.
